Graduation Ceremony Changes
Please be aware of the following changes:
The NDSS grad ceremony will be held on Friday, June 29th at 10:00 am in the NDSS gym. Doors open at 9:30 am. A grad reception will be held from 11:30-12:00. Each student will receive a maximum of three (3) tickets to the ceremony. If families need more tickets, please call the office and have your name put on the wait list. Tickets will be distributed at the beginning of June. There will be a mandatory grad rehearsal at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 28th followed by gown distribution. The group grad photo will be taken at 12:00 noon sharp on Thursday, June 28th. Any Grade 8-11 parents wishing to help with the grad reception are asked to contact Ms. Peace. More information regarding graduation will be in the June grad newsletter.

Other Year End Changes
Unfortunately this year the following traditional events have been cancelled:
- NDSS Grade 12 Honours Night
- District Awards Night
- NDSS Athletic Banquet
- School-wide year end awards (Grades 8-11)
- District Aboriginal Graduation
Although the above events have been cancelled, we are making the following arrangements:
NDSS Athletic Awards: Names of award winners will be publicized and we shall recognize these students in the school.
District Scholarships and Bursaries: There will be a short assembly on Tuesday, June 5 at 1:45 pm in the cafeteria. Members of the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Scholarship Foundation will assist in handing out awards.
NDSS Aboriginal Education Graduation: Thursday, May 31 from 12:00-1:30 pm at the school.
